disappointing

This suit looked fantastic to me online. I thought it was really unique, not too revealing/not too covered up, its ring detail holding the cups and attached bottom piece didn't look too chunky or flashy, and it had a cool print in nice colors that I thought would look great with a tan. I thought it seemed like a generally pretty interesting, classy looking suit and had visions of pairing it with my trusty aviators (and perhaps my straw cowboy hat even). Not so much when it arrived...it had a little ruching along the bum in the middle which (even when tried on over cotton underwear) pulled the back of the suit into a pseudo-wedgie/I'm-almost-a-thonga-style-but-not-quite which was both really annoying and channeling a little too much Penthouse Pet for me. The material was also not very nice. For $35ish you can go to TJ Maxx or Marshall's (sp?) and get a pretty high-quality suit that is made well and which will also fit well to boot and that is about what I paid for this one. I was disappointed. I'm 28, 5'9", I wear a size 10 and I like being fashionable but my hopes for this suit being a unique, sexy-but-classy swimwear staple were rather misplaced. I ended up removing the ruching seam from the bum (I like to sew) and giving the suit to my 18 year old cousin for her birthday. She hasn't worn it yet.
